Our Standard Equipment Warranty

Every piece of refurbished equipment sold by ABC Dentalworks is covered by our standard warranty:

  • 6 months on parts
  • 90 days on labor

Coverage begins on the date the equipment is delivered to you and applies to the original purchaser. The warranty covers defects in workmanship and functionality under normal installation, operating, and maintenance conditions.

Engaging the Warranty — Certified Technician Required

This warranty is engaged by documentation, not by the sale. Refurbished dental equipment is only as reliable as its installation, and a machine commissioned incorrectly will fail in ways that look like defects but are not. So coverage depends on two things:

  • The equipment must be installed and serviced by a Certified Dental Equipment Technician.
  • A warranty claim must include that technician’s name, company, certification, and the date of the work, together with the installation or service record.

We cannot process a claim without that documentation. Please collect it at the time of installation and keep it with your order paperwork — it cannot be produced retroactively, and a claim made without it will be declined. If you are not sure whether your technician qualifies, call us before the work is scheduled and we will confirm it, or authorize a technician for you.

Shipping Costs

Shipping is paid by the buyer. Outbound shipping is charged at checkout or quoted and confirmed before dispatch, and shipping charges are not refunded.

We create every return label ourselves. Anything coming back to us — a return, or a failed part under warranty — travels on a tracked label we issue against your RMA number, so the RMA is on the parcel and we can follow it the whole way. The label is charged to you and, on a refund, deducted from it. Please do not book your own return shipping: a parcel that arrives without our label and RMA number cannot be matched to your order.

What Is Covered

  • Functional failure of a covered component under normal clinical use.
  • Replacement parts required to correct a covered failure, for 6 months from delivery.
  • Labor to diagnose and repair a covered failure, for 90 days from delivery, when the work is performed by an ABC Dentalworks technician or a technician we authorize in advance.
  • Technical support by phone for the life of the equipment. We do not put a clock on answering your questions.

What Is Not Covered

  • Work with no certified technician record — installation or service that cannot be evidenced under “Engaging the Warranty” above.
  • Consumables and wear items — o-rings, gaskets, seals, filters, tubing, light bulbs, batteries, upholstery, and similar items that are expected to be replaced during routine maintenance.
  • Damage from water quality or utilities — scale, corrosion, or fouling caused by untreated water, and damage from power surges, incorrect voltage, or inadequate air or vacuum supply.
  • Improper installation — equipment that requires professional installation must be installed by a Certified Dental Equipment Technician. Damage resulting from self-installation, or installation that does not meet the manufacturer’s requirements, is not covered.
  • Unauthorized repair or modification — any repair, alteration, or part substitution performed without our prior authorization voids remaining coverage on the affected system.
  • Misuse, neglect, or accident — including failure to perform the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance.
  • Cosmetic condition — refurbished equipment may show minor cosmetic signs of previous use. The photographs in each listing represent the actual unit you receive.
  • Freight damage — damage that occurs in transit is handled as a freight claim, not a warranty claim. Inspect your shipment on arrival and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
  • Relocation — coverage does not follow equipment that is moved from the original installation address after delivery.

Labor Coverage and Service Area

On-site labor is covered within ABC Dentalworks’ Central Florida service area. Outside that area, labor coverage applies to service performed by a technician we authorize in advance — contact us before scheduling any work so we can approve it and coordinate with your technician. Work performed without prior authorization is not reimbursable.

How to Make a Claim

Contact us as soon as you identify a problem, and before any repair work begins.

Please have ready:

  • Your order number.
  • The equipment model and serial number.
  • A description of the fault. Photographs or a short video help us diagnose faster and often resolve the issue on the first call.
  • Your certified technician’s name, company, certification and the date of installation or service. A claim cannot be opened without this.

If a covered part needs replacement, we ship the replacement to you. We may ask you to return the failed part; we issue the return label against your RMA number so it can be tracked, and the shipping is charged to you. Parts not returned within 30 days of receiving the replacement may be invoiced.

Remedy and Limitations

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the failed component, at our discretion. ABC Dentalworks’ total liability under this warranty will not exceed the purchase price of the equipment.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost production, lost chair time, or the cost of temporary replacement equipment. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Parts Orders

Individual replacement parts are not covered by this equipment warranty. Parts are sold as tested and working to specification at the time of shipment.

Sealed and unopened parts can be returned within 7 days of delivery, with a Return Authorization (RMA) requested from us first. Once the seal is broken the part cannot be returned — opened, tested or fitted is final sale. Please confirm the fit before you open it; call us with your model and serial number and we will check it against the OEM cross-reference at no charge. Approved returns come back on a tracked label we issue against your RMA number, charged to you.

Questions Before You Buy

If you need different warranty terms for a particular purchase, ask us before you order. We would rather agree on the terms up front than have a surprise later. Call 727-388-4223 and you will reach a technician, not a call center.
