Heliodent DS or MD head down? We rebuild Siemens and Sirona Heliodent tube heads in house and keep refurbished heads and tube inserts on the shelf.
The Heliodent DS was sold under both the Siemens and Sirona names. Same head, same parts. Whether your label says HELIODENT DS or SIRONA DS, we can rebuild it or replace it. Depending on the failure, you may need the complete head or just the tube insert, and we'll tell you which after evaluation.

2. Swap from stock. Buy a refurbished head now and send your old one as a core.

Rebuilt In Our Own State-Registered Shop
ABC Dentalworks is registered with the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control, X-Ray Machine Section as a radiation machine service and remanufacture facility, registration V-1170. Rebuilds and warranty work are done here, not sent out.
Heliodent Tube Head FAQ
Do I need the complete head or just the insert?
If the housing is sound and not leaking, the insert alone may be enough. If the housing is cracked, leaking or arced, you need the complete head. Send photos and we'll help you decide.
Is a Sirona DS the same as a Siemens Heliodent DS?
Yes. Sirona took over the Siemens dental division and rebadged the unit. The heads and inserts are the same.
Will my X-ray need to be re-registered?
Some states require re-registration or re-certification after a tube head change. Check with your state radiation control program, and have a qualified dental X-ray technician install the head.
